One of the first team choices for the Brazilian midfield, Juninho has played a major role in keeping the french club Lyon among the top of Europe.

They have been a little unlucky, not being able to pass the quarter-finals of the Champions League for 3 consecutive years. In Brazil, he shinned in this years World Cup when he scored the winner against Croatia.
